!Hola! (That's hello in Spanish). Welcome to Border Food, a blog written in good taste to quell your appetite and indulge you in a world of new and exciting foods from the borderland. Arizona and Mexico have unique desert landscapes that provide a wealth of natural foods such as prickly pear cacti, yucca (pronounced yuck-uh, but delicious) berries, mesquite beans and rattlesnake meat. While the arid desert provides interesting foods, the real flavor of the border can be found in cultural foods, mainly Mexican food...enchiladas, flautas, green corn tamales, and flans...to name a few.
